Horizon Homecare provides professional, fully qualified and experienced domiciliary care services throughout Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire for a wide range of people. Whether living alone or with other family members, home care is a popular solution for those wishing and able to remain at home but would struggle to look after themselves without some support.
Horizon operates on a 24/7 basis and provides experienced, caring and personal care to people of all ages in their own homes. We care for people with a broad spectrum of dependency requirements, including physical disabilities, chronic or terminal illness, post-surgical care, mental health problems or learning disabilities, as well as those with non-specific needs.

And it’s not just around your home that you can receive help: your Horizon carer can accompany you on trips to the shops, family events or recreational pursuits. They can be a companion and friend to the able bodied, a vital support for the disabled or infirm or provide individual care for those requiring specialist medical attention.
Along with providing carers to attend to people at regular, scheduled appointments, our sister company, Horizon Live-in Care, can also provide a wide range of 24-hour, round-the-clock care, from simple companionship and reassurance to high dependency, medical and palliative care. With Horizon you get the constant help and support you require in the comfortable, familiar surroundings of your own home. We can help with funding and we look at all your options as a matter of course.

We are constantly monitored and assessed by the Care Quality Commission to ensure that we are maintaining our legal requirements for care provision and we consistently seek to achieve the highest standards in our inspections.
We are proud to announce that following our recent assessment the Care Quality Commission awarded Horizon Homecare an overall rating of Good. In fact, we were awarded a Good rating across all five categories of Safety, Effectiveness, Care, Responsiveness and Leadership.
The inspection summary stated:
“Horizon Homecare (Southern) Ltd is a domiciliary care service providing a regulated activity of personal care. The service was providing care and support to people in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of our inspection there were 230 people receiving personal care from the service. Learning from events and continual improvement were instrumental to the service. Leadership was visible and staff had committed to a common goal, to provide high quality care to people using the service. Governance systems were operating effectively and underpinned by robust policies and procedures.”
